Saturday, April 5 – Jazz at the market
10:30a – 12:30p
Guitarists Brian Seeger and Jesse Lewis have been nurturing their musical and personal relationship for nearly ten years. They have an uncanny musical communication, and an acrobatic ability to spontaneously create fresh twists on the standard jazz repertoire. Originally next door neighbors in the City Park area of New Orleans, they now share a zip code in New York City, Seeger is a well known musician, composer, and educator, commuting from New York on a regular basis to continue his teaching work at the University of New Orleans, as well as mentoring some of NOCCA's gifted young guitarists. Lewis is a much in demand touring and studio musician - he has appeared on over twenty recordings, including two releases of his own. Quite a feat considering he is still in his 20's.
